I am catching up on school posts. The past few weeks we did the moon and leaf units in our “My Father’s World” curriculum. I learned a lot about the moon and leaves as I taught the kids. Both units gave us lots of opportunities to be outside which we had to do in the morning and evening to avoid the heat. But we did plenty of nature walks and leaf collecting. We sorted leaves, counted them and did crafts with them. We looked at the moon and watched the first moon landing with Neil Armstrong. Next – we learn about apples, ooo I can almost feel the cool weather of FALL!
