With all the crafts we do around here, I love when I can combined something we need with our craft time. I was wrapping gifts and realized that I forgot to buy tags. So instead of buying the little stick on ones that I usually buy I thought it would be fun to have the kids make them. They of course loved the idea and I think it adds to the gift because these could double as ornaments if grandparents and family wanted to hold onto them.
I had foam trees that I grabbed last year on major after Christmas clearance. I just punched a hole in the top and then had the kids use markers, glue, and glitter to personalize them. Then we wrote the names on each one. The kids were very into this part, they loved picking which tree they made went to which person. I used twine and just tied them on and that’s it! So easy and such a nice personal touch to gift giving, I think we will make this a yearly event.
